Job 38:8
13 Tagairtí Cros

So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse.  And it was so.

Then God said, ‘Let the water under the sky be gathered into one place,  and let the dry land appear.’ And it was so.

When God fixed the weight of the wind and distributed the water by measure,

when I determined its boundaries and put its bars and doors in place,

when I made the clouds its garment and total darkness its blanket,  ,

Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his hands? Who has bound up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son – if you know?

when he set a limit for the sea so that the waters would not violate his command, when he laid out the foundations of the earth.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains on a balance and the hills on the scales?

Do you not fear me? This is the  Lord’s declaration. Do you not tremble before me, the one who set the sand as the boundary of the sea, an enduring barrier that it cannot cross? The waves surge, but they cannot prevail. They roar, but cannot pass over it.
