100 tonnes  , of gold (gold of Ophir  ) and 240 tonnes  of refined silver for overlaying the walls of the buildings,


Gold cannot be exchanged for it, and silver cannot be weighed out for its price.


Gold and glass do not compare with it, and articles of fine gold cannot be exchanged for it.


and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They should be adorned with gold filigree in their settings.


His arms  are rods of gold set  with beryl. His body  is an ivory panel covered with lapis lazuli.


I will make a human scarcer than fine gold, and mankind rarer than the gold of Ophir.


‘Poor Jerusalem, storm-tossed, and not comforted, I will set your stones in black mortar, and lay your foundations in lapis lazuli.


Her dignitaries were brighter than snow, whiter than milk; their bodies  were more ruddy than coral, their appearance like lapis lazuli.
