Dreadful sounds fill his ears; when he is at peace, a robber attacks him.


his archers  surround me. He pierces my kidneys without mercy and pours my bile on the ground.


Terrors frighten him on every side and harass him at every step.


He is ripped from the security of his tent and marched away to the king of terrors.


Terrors overtake him like a flood; a storm  wind sweeps him away at night.


Surely the arrows of the Almighty have pierced   me; my spirit drinks their poison. God’s terrors are arrayed against me.


Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord,  we try to persuade people. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your consciences.


when I sharpen my flashing sword, and my hand takes hold of judgement, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.
