He took his last breath and died at a good old age,  old and contented,  and he was gathered to his people.


Now Jacob lived in the land of Egypt for 17 years, and his lifespan was 147 years.


Joseph then brought his father Jacob and presented him to Pharaoh, and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.


Jacob said to Pharaoh, ‘My pilgrimage  has lasted for 130 years. My years have been few and hard,  and they have not reached the years of my ancestors during their pilgrimages.’


Barzillai replied to the king, ‘How many years of my life are left that I should go up to Jerusalem with the king?
