For this is what the Lord of Armies says: Cut down the trees; raise a siege ramp against Jerusalem. This city must be punished. There is nothing but oppression within her.


‘Now you, son of man, mark out two roads that the sword of Babylon’s king can take. Both of them should originate from the same land. And make a signpost at the fork in the road to each city.


I will speak through the prophets and grant many visions; I will give parables through the prophets.


I have known only you out of all the clans of the earth; therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.
