He set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.


They washed whenever they came to the tent of meeting and approached the altar, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.


‘One who has bathed,’ Jesus told him, ‘doesn’t need to wash anything except his feet, but he is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.’


If we walk in the light  as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus  his Son cleanses us from all sin.


If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive  us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
