Deuteronomy 19:16 - Christian Standard Bible Anglicised

‘If a malicious witness testifies against someone accusing him of a crime,

Tuilleadh leaganacha

If a false witness rise up against any man to testify against him that which is wrong;

If a false witness rises up against any man to accuse him of wrongdoing,

If an unrighteous witness rise up against any man to testify against him of wrong-doing,

Now if a spiteful witness comes forward against someone, so as to testify against them falsely,

If a lying witness will have stood against a man, accusing him of a transgression,

If a lying witness stand against a man, accusing him of transgression:

An honest witness does not deceive, but a dishonest witness utters lies.

A false witness will not go unpunished, and one who utters lies will not escape.

They also presented false witnesses who said, ‘This man never stops speaking against this holy place and the law.

Do not give dishonest testimony against your neighbour.
