When the time approached for him to die,  he called his son Joseph and said to him, ‘If I have found favour with you, put your hand under my thigh  and promise me that you will deal with me in kindness and faithfulness.  Do not bury me in Egypt.


When I rest with my ancestors, carry me away from Egypt and bury me in their burial place.’ Joseph answered, ‘I will do what you have asked.’


but they had killed 360 of the Benjaminites and Abner’s men.


All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron  and said, ‘Here we are, your own flesh and blood.  ,


He was buried in his own tomb that he had made for himself in the city of David. They laid him out in a coffin that was full of spices and various mixtures of prepared ointments;  then they made a great fire in his honour.


Jehoshaphat rested with his ancestors and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David. His son Jehoram  became king in his place.


Do you see a person skilled in his work? He will stand in the presence of kings. He will not stand in the presence of the unknown.


Then Gideon son of Joash died at a good old age and was buried in the tomb of his father Joash in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
