Then in truth, Melchizedek, the king of Salem, brought forth bread and wine, for he was a priest of the Most High God;


And he will raise a temple to the Lord. And he will carry the glory, and he will sit and rule upon his throne. And he will be a priest upon his throne, and a counsel of peace will be between the two of them.


God is not like a man, so that he would lie, nor is he like a son of man, so that he would be changed. Therefore, having spoken, will he not act? Has he ever spoken, and not fulfilled?


And similarly, he says in another place: "You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek."

For the law appoints men as priests, though they have infirmities. But, by the word of the oath that is after the law, the Son has been perfected for eternity.


and who has made us into a kingdom and into priests for God and for his Father. To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
