For from the time that I entered to Pharaoh, so as to speak in your name, he has afflicted your people. And you have not freed them."


And behold, a woman of Canaan, going out from those parts, cried out, saying to him: "Take pity on me, Lord, Son of David. My daughter is badly afflicted by a demon."


And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, departed from him.


And answering them, he said: "O unbelieving generation, how long must I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to me."


And he questioned his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" But he said: "From infancy.


And crying out, and convulsing him greatly, he departed from him. And he became like one who is dead, so much so that many said, "He is dead."


And when he had entered into the house, his disciples questioned him privately, "Why were we unable to cast him out?"


Because of this, rejoice, O heavens, and all who dwell within it. Woe to the earth and to the sea! For the devil has descended to you, holding great anger, knowing that he has little time."
