When Jesus had heard it, he withdrew from there by boat, to a deserted place by himself. And when the crowds had heard of it, they followed him on foot from the cities.
For he healed so many, that as many of them as had wounds would rush toward him in order to touch him.
And he beseeched him greatly, saying: "For my daughter is near the end. Come and lay your hand on her, so that she may be healthy and may live."
And he was not able to perform any miracles there, except that he cured a few of the infirm by laying his hands on them.
