{\b Maschil of David, when he was in the cave; a Prayer.}\par\par\tab I cry with my voice unto Jehovah;\par\tab With my voice unto Jehovah do I make supplication.


When my spirit was overwhelmed within me,\par\tab Thou knewest my path.\par\tab In the way wherein I walk\par\tab Have they hidden a snare for me.


I have called upon thee, for thou wilt answer me, O God:\par\tab Incline thine ear unto me, {\i and} hear my speech.


In my distress I called upon Jehovah,\par\tab And cried unto my God:\par\tab He heard my voice out of his temple,\par\tab And my cry before him came into his ears.


And call upon me in the day of trouble:\par\tab I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.\par
