All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when they of the captivity were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.\par


Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion!\par\tab When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people,\par\tab Then shall Jacob rejoice, {\i and} Israel shall be glad.\par


{\b For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah.}\par\par\tab As the hart panteth after the water brooks,\par\tab So panteth my soul after thee, O God.


Will the Lord cast off for ever?\par\tab And will he be favorable no more?


Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have compassion on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be builded upon its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited after its own manner.


Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, O mountain of holiness.


Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name.


Then was Jehovah jealous for his land, and had pity on his people.


For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,


then will I remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.


Therefore thus saith Jehovah: I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies; my house shall be built in it, saith Jehovah of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem.
