When the anger of God went up against them,\par\tab And slew of the fattest of them,\par\tab And smote down the young men of Israel.


But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, {\i and} himself fought against them.


And Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, every man at the door of his tent: and the anger of Jehovah was kindled greatly; and Moses was displeased.
