Let their way be dark and slippery,\par\tab And the angel of Jehovah pursuing them.


But the wicked shall perish,\par\tab And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs:\par\tab They shall consume; in smoke shall they consume away.


Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;\par\tab For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.


But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction:\par\tab Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;\par\tab But I will trust in thee.\par


When the wicked spring as the grass,\par\tab And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish;\par\tab It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.


But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore.


And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity,\par\tab And will cut them off in their own wickedness;\par\tab Jehovah our God will cut them off.\par


Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery places in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.\par


Vengeance is mine, and recompense, At the time when their foot shall slide: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
