Thou renewest thy witnesses against me,\par\tab And increasest thine indignation upon me:\par\tab Changes and warfare are with me.\par


Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress,\par\tab That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands,\par\tab And shine upon the counsel of the wicked?


And that thou shouldest visit him every morning,\par\tab And try him every moment?


Many are the afflictions of the righteous;\par\tab But Jehovah delivereth him out of them all.


Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah,\par\tab And teachest out of thy law;


Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou indeed be unto me as a deceitful {\i brook}, as waters that fail?\par
