And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Begone, begone, thou man of blood, and base fellow:


The cords of death compassed me,\par\tab And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me:\par\tab I found trouble and sorrow.


As with a sword in my bones, mine adversaries reproach me,\par\tab While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?


My soul also is sore troubled:\par\tab And thou, O Jehovah, how long?


Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness:\par\tab And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;\par\tab And for comforters, but I found none.
