I go mourning without the sun:\par\tab I stand up in the assembly, and cry for help.


My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust;\par\tab My skin closeth up, and breaketh out afresh.


Fools because of their transgression,\par\tab And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.


Jehovah upholdeth all that fall,\par\tab And raiseth up all those that are bowed down.


For my life is spent with sorrow,\par\tab And my years with sighing:\par\tab My strength faileth because of mine iniquity,\par\tab And my bones are wasted away.


I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother:\par\tab I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother.


Why art thou cast down, O my soul?\par\tab And {\i why} art thou disquieted within me?\par\tab Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him\par\tab {\i For} the help of his countenance.\par
