With my whole heart have I sought thee:\par\tab Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.


Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed,\par\tab That do wander from thy commandments.


The proud have had me greatly in derision:\par\tab {\i Yet} have I not swerved from thy law.


The proud have digged pits for me,\par\tab Who are not according to thy law.


They had almost consumed me upon earth;\par\tab But I forsook not thy precepts.


The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me;\par\tab {\i But} I will consider thy testimonies.


The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords;\par\tab They have spread a net by the wayside;\par\tab They have set gins for me. {\i Selah


Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me,\par\tab And from the gins of the workers of iniquity.
