and madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them commandments, and statutes, and a law, by Moses thy servant,


Wondrous works in the land of Ham,\par\tab {\i And} terrible things by the Red Sea.


He hath showed his people the power of his works,\par\tab In giving them the heritage of the nations.


He showeth his word unto Jacob,\par\tab His statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.


Thou leddest thy people like a flock,\par\tab By the hand of Moses and Aaron.\par


And they forgat his doings,\par\tab And his wondrous works that he had showed them.


For he established a testimony in Jacob,\par\tab And appointed a law in Israel,\par\tab Which he commanded our fathers,\par\tab That they should make them known to their children;


He spake unto them in the pillar of cloud:\par\tab They kept his testimonies,\par\tab And the statute that he gave them.


And Jehovah came down upon mount Sinai, to the top of the mount: and Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.


And all the people answered together, and said, All that Jehovah hath spoken we will do. And Moses reported the words of the people unto Jehovah.


And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.


Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found favor in thy sight, show me now thy ways, that I may know thee, to the end that I may find favor in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.


My servant Moses is not so; he is faithful in all my house:


And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom Jehovah knew face to face,
