Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked,\par\tab Nor standeth in the way of sinners,\par\tab Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers:


My son, if sinners entice thee,\par\tab Consent thou not.


My son, walk not thou in the way with them;\par\tab Refrain thy foot from their path:


Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise;\par\tab But the companion of fools shall smart for it.


Lest thou learn his ways,\par\tab And get a snare to thy soul.


Be not thou envious against evil men;\par\tab Neither desire to be with them:


Avoid it, pass not by it;\par\tab Turn from it, and pass on.


Remove thy way far from her,\par\tab And come not nigh the door of her house;
