that Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in {\i one of} the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.


They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor:\par\tab With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.


Draw me not away with the wicked,\par\tab And with the workers of iniquity;\par\tab That speak peace with their neighbors,\par\tab But mischief is in their hearts.


For as he thinketh within himself, so is he:\par\tab Eat and drink, saith he to thee;\par\tab But his heart is not with thee.


Fervent lips and a wicked heart\par\tab Are {\i like} an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross.


For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; even they have cried aloud after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.\par


Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
