And Jehovah spake to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.


but they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of Jehovah arose against his people, till there was no remedy.\par


For God speaketh once,\par\tab Yea twice, {\i though man} regardeth it not.


In the covert of thy presence wilt thou hide them from the plottings of man:\par\tab Thou wilt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.


He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck\par\tab Shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy


Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.


I will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but ye did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not.\par


I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, that walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;


I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not.\par


therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.\par


As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of Jehovah, we will not hearken unto thee.


And now, because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not:


Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Jehovah.\par


Therefore will I also deal in wrath; mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.\par


And it is come to pass that, as he cried, and they would not hear, so they shall cry, and I will not hear, said Jehovah of hosts;


while thy stretchest forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of thy holy Servant Jesus.


But as to Israel he saith, {\b All the day long did I spread out my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.}\par


And when Saul inquired of Jehovah, Jehovah answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
