The wicked are not so,\par\tab But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.


Let them be as chaff before the wind,\par\tab And the angel of Jehovah driving {\i them} on.


And the strong shall be as tow, and his work as a spark; and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.\par


The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but he shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.


Wrath is not in me: would that the briers and thorns were against me in battle! I would march upon them, I would burn them together.

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.\par


At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A hot wind from the bare heights in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to winnow, nor to cleanse;


And I will send unto Babylon strangers, that shall winnow her; and they shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.


Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, mine anger and my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.\par


Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the dew that passeth early away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing-floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.\par


For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, like as {\i grain} is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least kernel fall upon the earth.


For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith Jehovah of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.


Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.}\par


The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,


and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.


Then shall {\b the righteous shine forth as the sun} in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.\par


John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but there cometh he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and {\i in} fire:
