They have compassed me about also with words of hatred,\par\tab And fought against me without a cause.


{\b For the Chief Musician. {\i A Psalm} of David.}\par\par\tab In Jehovah do I take refuge:\par\tab How say ye to my soul,\par\tab Flee {\i as} a bird to your mountain;


{\b SHIN.}\par\par\tab Princes have persecuted me without a cause;\par\tab But my heart standeth in awe of thy words.


Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers:\par\tab The snare is broken, and we are escaped.


Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me;\par\tab Neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.


For without cause have they hid for me their net {\i in} a pit;\par\tab Without cause have they digged {\i a pit} for my soul.


They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head:\par\tab They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty:\par\tab That which I took not away I have to restore.
