Jehovah our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us;


that he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his ordinances, which he commanded our fathers.


Incline my heart unto thy testimonies,\par\tab And not to covetousness.


Incline not my heart to any evil thing,\par\tab To practise deeds of wickedness\par\tab With men that work iniquity:\par\tab And let me not eat of their dainties.


I am Jehovah thy God,\par\tab Who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt:\par\tab Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.


Ye shall not make other gods with me; gods of silver, or gods of gold, ye shall not make unto you.


So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom,\par\tab And apply thy heart to understanding;


Ephraim {\i shall say}, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green firtree; from me is thy fruit found.\par


Now therefore fear Jehovah, and serve him in sincerity and in truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, and in Egypt; and serve ye Jehovah.
