And they went out at noon. But Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him.


And thou shalt take no bribe: for a bribe blindeth them that have sight, and perverteth the words of the righteous.


Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler;\par\tab And whosoever erreth thereby is not wise.


Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions?\par\tab Who hath complaining? who hath wounds without cause?\par\tab Who hath redness of eyes?


It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine;\par\tab Nor for princes {\i to say}, Where is strong drink?


Lest they drink, and forget the law,\par\tab And pervert the justice {\i due} to any that is afflicted.


and behold, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we shall die.


They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
