Our soul is exceedingly filled\par\tab With the scoffing of those that are at ease,\par\tab And with the contempt of the proud.


Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.


Moreover Jehovah said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet;


For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we ruined! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.


Yet hear the word of Jehovah, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.


They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets:\par\tab They that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.


This is the joyous city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.\par


He that hath ears, let him hear.}\par
