If he pass through, and shut up,\par\tab And call unto judgment, then who can hinder him?


Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again;\par\tab He shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.


When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn?\par\tab And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him?\par\tab Alike whether {\i it be done} unto a nation, or unto a man:


Hearken unto this, O Job:\par\tab Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.


Behold, he seizeth {\i the prey}, who can hinder him?\par\tab Who will say unto him, What doest thou?\par


Whoso is wise will give heed to these things;\par\tab And they will consider the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah.


When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,\par\tab The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;


That which is crooked cannot be made straight; and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.


He hath made everything beautiful in its time: also he hath set eternity in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath done from the beginning even to the end.


then I beheld all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because however much a man labor to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea moreover, though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.\par


For Jehovah of hosts hath purposed, and who shall annul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?\par


Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who can hinder it?\par


And the harp and the lute, the tabret and the pipe, and wine, are {\i in} their feasts; but they regard not the work of Jehovah, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.\par


and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?


If then ye are not able to do even that which is least, why are ye anxious concerning the rest?


For he saith to Moses, {\b I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.}


Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he still find fault? For who withstandeth his will?


in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will;
