Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against Jehovah exceedingly.
Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth:\par\tab How much more the wicked and the sinner!\par
For, lo, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts.\par
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he hath done shall be remembered: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.\par
And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.\par
Now all the publicans and sinners were drawing near unto him to hear him.\par

But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
Let us fear therefore, lest haply, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it.
