Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, {\i even} God, hath sealed.}


For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.


even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the {\i profit} of the many, that they may be saved.\par


Wherefore, if meat causeth my brother to stumble, I will eat no flesh for evermore, that I cause not my brother to stumble.\par


Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is {\i anything} in the world, and that there is no God but one.
