O my God, in thee have I trusted, Let me not be put to shame; Let not mine enemies triumph over me.


Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?


But he, being merciful, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: Yea, many a time turned he his anger away, And did not stir up all his wrath.


Turn us again, O Jehovah God of hosts; Cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

For yet a very little while, and the indignation against thee shall be accomplished, and mine anger shall be directed to his destruction.

O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, let thine anger and thy wrath, I pray thee, be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are round about us.


I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee; and I will not come in wrath.
