and you made known your holy Sabbath to them and gave them commandments and statutes and a law through Moses your servant.


wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.


He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.


He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and ordinances to Israel.


You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.


They forgot what he had done and the miracles that he had shown them.


He established a decree in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach to their children,


He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud; they kept his decrees and the statutes that he gave them.


When the Lord descended upon Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain, the Lord summoned Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.


The people all answered as one, “Everything that the Lord has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.


Then the people stood at a distance, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.


Now if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your ways, so that I may know you and find favor in your sight. Consider, too, that this nation is your people.”


Not so with my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house.


Never since has there arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.
