He left Nazareth and made his home in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali,


And after getting into a boat he crossed the sea and came to his own town.


Now when the centurion who stood facing him saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was God’s Son!”


When he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.


But when they had tied him up with straps, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it legal for you to flog a Roman person who is uncondemned?”


Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the tribune, for he has something to report to him.”


Then he summoned two of the centurions and said, “Get ready to leave by nine o’clock tonight for Caesarea with two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen.


When a moderate south wind began to blow, they thought they could achieve their purpose; so they weighed anchor and began to sail past Crete, close to the shore.


Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”


but the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and make for the land


Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, who heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him with the request, “Please come to us without delay.”
