“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
“You have heard that it was said, Don’t commit adultery.
You have heard that it was said to the ancients: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not commit adultery.
“You shall not commit adultery.
But he who commits adultery has no sense; he who does it destroys himself.
You shall not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her.
“If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.
“You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, ‘You shall not murder,’ and ‘whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.’
“Again, you have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but carry out the vows you have made to the Lord.’
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
“ ‘Neither shall you commit adultery.
