Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A female servant came to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.”


At that very time there were some present who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.


But they were insistent and said, “He stirs up the people by teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee where he began even to this place.”


And when he learned that he was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him off to Herod, who was himself in Jerusalem at that time.


After him Judas the Galilean rose up at the time of the census and got people to follow him; he also perished, and all who followed him were scattered.
