The Philistines went to war again with Israel, and David went down together with his servants. They fought against the Philistines, and David grew weary.


Toward the beginning of harvest three of the thirty chiefs went down to join David at the cave of Adullam while a band of Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
