Then Abram fell on his face, and God said to him,


Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the ground and did obeisance to the king and said, “May my lord King David live forever!”


“Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.


Pay to all what is due them: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.


Honor everyone. Love the family of believers. Fear God. Honor the emperor.


As soon as the boy had gone, David rose from beside the stone heap and prostrated himself with his face to the ground. He bowed three times, and they kissed each other and wept with each other; David wept the more.


So David rebuked his men severely and did not permit them to attack Saul. Then Saul got up and left the cave and went on his way.


David said to Saul, “Why do you listen to the words of those who say, ‘David seeks to do you harm’?


Saul recognized David’s voice and said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” David said, “It is my voice, my lord, O king.”


He said to her, “What is his appearance?” She said, “An old man is coming up; he is wrapped in a robe.” So Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and did obeisance.
