Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit


For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony did not agree.


“When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.


Instead, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once blood and water came out.


This agrees with the words of the prophets, as it is written,


it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God,


who has put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a down payment.


Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the city gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood.


For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift and have shared in the Holy Spirit


And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,


If we receive human testimony, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has testified to his Son.
