Get ready to be transformed.
No cap, this ain't some legend or old wives' tale. This love I'm talking about is real, more tangible than you think. It's a love that doesn't wait for you to earn it or judge you for your screw-ups. It's the kind of love that's given, just 'cause it's gotta be. A love that rescued a desperate dude in the middle of a storm – let me tell you about it, see if you can catch the vibe:
"One dark, starless night, the waves were slamming against the boat, freaking out the few brave souls on board. They weren't pros, and the sea was dragging them around without a care. A young sailor, just a few months into learning the ropes in the gulf, saw death up close. His fears were overwhelming him as he felt the cold water seeping into his bones. 'Who's gonna save us?' he cried, close to giving up the ghost."
You weren't there, but you can probably feel the fear creeping in, right? And then, outta nowhere, between the massive, raging waves, BOOM! Can you guess who showed up? A glow, not just some reflection, but something that covered him, lit him up, embraced him. This dude saw his life as a total mess, but this scene was unbelievable. You know why this experience hit him so hard? It wasn't the waves or the darkness; his worst nightmare was not having love. But now, he was getting everything he was missing in that deep dark. That glow with all its power covered him so much that, from that day on, he was never the same. He was free. The glow was love and light, the very thing that dude didn’t have.
Let's get this straight, For God so loved the world,
- and here's where the curtain rises on the biggest show of affection, one that can't be measured or fully understood. It wasn't some passing fancy, a nice gesture, or something shallow. This affection comes from the depths of his divine heart: “that he gave his one and only Son…”. Think about this: His own Son, Jesus, is the gift, the hope for a perfect relationship with the Father. His perfect sacrifice was needed to give you and everyone on this earth the best example of kindness, faith, and courage: his own life given on the cross, which was an explosion of power to break the chains of despair.
I'm telling you again, listen to this life-changing promise: “that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” There’s no catch, no requirements, no fine print! No matter how far you've fallen, how many times you’ve messed up: Believe in Jesus Christ, because you got salvation! It's a real life, with hope, without the chains of the past, and in fullness with the one who loves you with all his being. The gift's already been given to you. It's in your hands to accept it or reject it.
That’s right, God isn't looking for you 'cause you're perfect, but to make you perfect.
The gift is there, the choice is all yours. Choose to live a meaningful life guided by the light of the creator.
May the power of this unbreakable promise always fill you up. Like it’s written:
2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
