Genesis 14 - The Scriptures 1998

¹ And it came to be in the days of Amraphel sovereign of Shinʽ

² that they fought against Bera sovereign of Seḏ

³ All these joined together in the Valley of Siddim, that is the Salt Sea.

⁴ Twelve years they served Keḏ

⁵ And in the fourteenth year Keḏ

⁶ and the Ḥ

⁷ And they turned back and came to Ě

⁸ And the sovereign of Seḏ

⁹ against Keḏ

¹⁰ And the Valley of Siddim had many tar pits. And the sovereigns of Seḏ

¹¹ And they took all the goods of Seḏ

¹² And they took Lot, Aḇ

¹³ And one who had escaped came and informed Aḇ

¹⁴ And when Aḇ

¹⁵ And he and his servants divided against them by night, and smote them and pursued them as far as Ḥ

¹⁶ So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people.

¹⁷ And after his return from the defeat of Keḏ

¹⁸ And Malkitseḏ

¹⁹ And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Aḇ

²⁰ “And blessed be the Most High Ě

²¹ And the sovereign of Seḏ

²² But Aḇ

²³ not to take a thread or a sandal strap or whatever is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Aḇ

²⁴ except only what the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Anĕ
