2 Kings 15 - The Scriptures 1998

¹ In the twenty-seventh year of Yaroḇ

² He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yeḵ

³ And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that his father Amatsyahu did,

⁴ however, the high places were not taken away. The people still slaughtered and burned incense on the high places.

⁵ And יהוה  smote the sovereign, so that he was a leper until the day of his death, and he dwelt in a separate house. And Yotham son of the sovereign was over the house, ruling the people of the land.

⁶ And the rest of the acts of Azaryahu, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yehuḏ

⁷ So Azaryah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the City of Dawiḏ

⁸ In the thirty-eighth year of Azaryahu sovereign of Yehuḏ

⁹ And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ

¹⁰ And Shallum son of Yaḇ

¹¹ And the rest of the acts of Zeḵ

¹² This was the word of יהוה  which He spoke to Yĕ

¹³ Shallum son of Yaḇ

¹⁴ And Menaḥ

¹⁵ And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the conspiracy which he led, see, they are written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yisra’ĕ

¹⁶ And Menaḥ

¹⁷ In the thirty-ninth year of Azaryah sovereign of Yehuḏ

¹⁸ And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ

¹⁹ Pul the sovereign of Ashshur came against the land. And Menaḥ

²⁰ And Menaḥ

²¹ And the rest of the acts of Menaḥ

²² So Menaḥ

²³ In the fiftieth year of Azaryah the sovereign of Yehuḏ

²⁴ And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ

²⁵ And Peqaḥ

²⁶ And the rest of the acts of Peqaḥ

²⁷ In the fifty-second year of Azaryah sovereign of Yehuḏ

²⁸ And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה. He did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ

²⁹ In the days of Peqaḥ

³⁰ And Hoshĕ

³¹ And the rest of the acts of Peqaḥ

³² In the second year of Peqaḥ

³³ He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yerusha the daughter of Tsaḏ

³⁴ And he did what was right in the eyes of יהוה. He did according to all that his father Uzziyahu did.

³⁵ However, the high places were not taken away. The people still slaughtered and burned incense on the high places. He built the Upper Gate of the House of יהוה.

³⁶ And the rest of the acts of Yotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the sovereigns of Yehuḏ

³⁷ In those days יהוה  began to send Retsin sovereign of Aram and Peqaḥ

³⁸ So Yotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of Dawiḏ
