2 Peter 3 - The third line (in English) translating the meaning of each word in the Orthodox Yiddish Brit Chadaschapter three 1 the these, beloved, is already the second letter, which I write you (PL); in which I rouse by a reminder your pure understanding; 2 to remember the words, which the holy prophets have before spoken, and the commandment of our L-rd and Savior through the Shlichim your (PL); the these shall you (PL) know, 3 before all, that in the last days will come mockers with mockery, who go according to their own covetous desires, 4 and will say: where is the promise of His coming (Bias of the Moshiach)? because since the fathers did fall asleep, remains all as at the beginning of the creation! 5 because intentionally forget they the these, that through Hashem's word already long ago are was heavens, and that an earth is emerged out water and through water; 6 through which (Word) the then world is gone under/destroyed in a water of flood; 7 the present heavens however and the earth are reserved through the same word and are set aside for the fire unto Day of Judgment and the destruction of men ung-dly. 8 forget however not in the this, beloved (in Moshiach), that one day with the L-rd is as thousand years, and thousand years as one day. 9 the L-rd delays Himself not with the promise, as some regard it for a delay; but He is patient to you (PL), because He wants not someone shall lost be, but that all should come to repentance. 10 the Day of the L-rd will however come as a thief; in the same day will the heavens pass away with a (loud rushing) noise, and the elements will self dissolve from heat, and the earth and the everything done on it will burned be. 11 since all the these things will dissolve in such way, today what for a (person) have need you (PL) even now to be in a holy life and in fearer of heaven, 12 expecting and hastening the coming of Hashem's day, through which the heavens will burned be and dissolve, and the foundations will melted be from heat! 13 according to His promise however wait for we a new heaven and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (Yeshayah 65, 17-25) 14 therefore, beloved, since you (PL) expect the these things, shall you (PL) yourselves be diligent found to be in peace, without a spot and without a blemish for Him. 15 and count the patience of our L-rd as a salvation; according to as our beloved brother Paul has you (PL) written, according to the wisdom, which is him given become, 16 as also in all letters, when he speaks in them of it; in which are some hard to understand things, which the unlearned and not stable to pervert, as also the rest of Scriptures (the Holy), to their own destruction. 17 and you (PL), beloved, knowing it beforehand, shall self keep, so that you (PL) shall not carried away be by the seduction of evil people, and not fall away from your own firm condition. 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our L-rd and Redeemer Yehoshua the Moshiach. glory to Him also now also in the Day of Forever. Amen. |
