Psalm 108 - Douy-Rheims Bible Challoner Revision

Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine and Ephraim the protection of my head. Juda is my king:

Moab the pot of my hope. Over Edom I will stretch out my shoe: the aliens are become my friends.

0 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

1 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?

2 O grant us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

3 Through God we shall do mightily: and he will bring our enemies to nothing.

Unto the end, a psalm for David.

O God, be not thou silent in thy praise: for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful man is opened against me.

They have spoken against with deceitful tongues; and they have compassed me about with words of hatred; and have fought against me without cause.

Instead of making me a return of love, they detracted me: but I gave myself to prayer.

And they repaid me evil for good: and hatred for my love.

Set thou the sinner over him: and may the devil stand at his right hand.

When he is judged, may he go out condemned; and may his prayer be turned to sin.
