The Lord my Great Lord.
God is the Master and majestic Lord. God is our authority.
Psalms 8 Isaiah 40:3-5 Ezekiel 16:8 Habakkuk 3:19.
Adonai is the plural of Adon. This term is the verbal parallel to Yahweh, Jehovah and YHWH (which was considered too holy to be pronounced). The word "Adonai" is not a proper noun nor is it directly a name of God. It is an emphatic form of the word "Adon" which means "lord" or "master". That is an statement of someone who is above everyone else, the one who is superior, that is why its common use is THE LORD.
Jesus is our endless source of life.
Jesus is our bond with the origin of life. Being God, He has life in himself. By becoming man, He transmits that life to all those who believe in him. Jesus, drawing closer to the reality of his disciples, makes them see that he himself is the vine and they are the branches. It is indispensable for the branches to remain attached to the vine if they want to have life and give fruits. The branch cannot bear fruit by itself if it's separated of the vine.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ( John 1:1).
