Jesus is the Father of a new human nature.
The first Adam brought sin and death to us. Jesus, the last Adam brings us life. Jesus is the source of eternal life. The first man condemned his descendants to a life of slavery to sin, but Jesus, the second Adam gave grace and perfect justice to those who are in him (Romans 5:16-17). In Eden, Adam rebelled against God and as a consequence of his disobedience God cursed him and threw him out of His presence. And with him, all his descendants were far from the presence of God, without having access to Him due to the slavery to sin Adam had handed over, not only himself but all his lineage. What Adam did in the Eden was undone by Jesus. Jesus did what Adam couldn't. What was his purpose? Adam mad the humankind sin, but Christ gave his perfect justice (obedience) to those who are in him by faith. Christ undid, in the desert and in his earthly life, what Adam did in the Eden so that those who were in him could enter again to the presence of God, not for their own effort but for what Christ did in their place. Adam caused all his lineage to be separated from God. Through faith, Christ draw the presence of God to his people. Jesus is the true and perfect Adam.
