Jesus is our sacrifice.
Jesus, being our paschal lamb is the supreme compliance of the entire system of sacrifices (Hebrews 7: 26-29) as the lamb of God, with his sacrifice he paid the price for our past, present and future sins. When Jesus is called the Lamb of God in John 1:29 and John 1:36 is in reference to him being the perfect and the ultimate sacrifice for sin. Is through his dead on the cross, as the perfect sacrifice of God for sin and his resurrection three days later that we can now have eternal life if we believe in him. The fact that it was God himself who provided the payment for our ransom is part of the glorious good news of the Gospel.
