Explication

Jesus is the brightest star in heavens and the light of the world. If we walk in his light we won`t get lost. A STAR is physically an incandescent and luminous mass, and God created the stars from the beginning to separate them from the darkness. Other characteristics of the stars are: they bright by themselves, show the way, represent the fire, energy, attraction, produce shining, power, and announce the arrival of a new day. In this verse Jesus is being compared to a shining STAR, and that is what he should be in our lives. When he was born the signal the shepherds and the wise men saw was a star pointing out that the TRUE LIGHT had came to earth. The promise of God to us is that if we follow that STAR we won't be in darkness anymore, God wants us not to take our eyes off that STAR that is JESUS.
