The Lord my Great Lord.
God is the Master and majestic Lord. God is our authority.
Psalms 8 Isaiah 40:3-5 Ezekiel 16:8 Habakkuk 3:19.
Adonai is the plural of Adon. This term is the verbal parallel to Yahweh, Jehovah and YHWH (which was considered too holy to be pronounced). The word "Adonai" is not a proper noun nor is it directly a name of God. It is an emphatic form of the word "Adon" which means "lord" or "master". That is an statement of someone who is above everyone else, the one who is superior, that is why its common use is THE LORD.
Jesus guides us and look after us.
Jesus is the bridegroom and his church is the bride. He is the head of the church; he loves it and takes care of it. He gave his life for his church. Christ made himself nothing, and when the time came he went to Jerusalem knowing that he was going to suffer. Jesus suffered on the cross. He suffered the wrath of God upon him, the separation from the Father. How not to love such a Savior? He gave his life for me, loved me, looked for me, and saved me.
Matthew 9:15 John 3:28 Revelation 21:9.
Head of the church (Ephesians 5:23) Head of the body (Ephesians 4:15-16).
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ( John 1:1).
