Bible commentaries

Matthew 7:24 talks us about how to build our lives on the rock. This rock is so powerful that the church is built upon it (Matthew 16:18). In a world so financially, laboriously, familiarly, emotionally and spiritually unstable, we have Jehovah-Selah, Jehovah my rock, who gives us stability, foundation and security in everything. 1 Corinthians 10:4 says that the rock from Exodus 17, was and is Christ. 1 Peter 2:4 says that the world rejected that rock. And this rock transforms itself into a peaceful, strong and prosperous castle. It is also the rock that releases and crumbles the chains of oppression of man. However, for those who dismiss it, verse 8 says that it is for them a rock that makes them fall. But to those who love him, it is the Everlasting Rock of Salvation, Jehovah-Selah.
